LESS IS BORE

'Less is Bore' is a personal exploration of the International Style architectural movement and its response towards Modernism. I captured images of currently standing structures, taking them out of their respective environments. Exploring what it means to decorate, just like architects I used the tools that are available to me in this modern world, to create something unique and imaginative. I looked for buildings that emphasized simplicity and has a somewhat clarity of form. Box shapes, straight lines, flat and unvarnished surfaces. I pulled apart every building that I captured, layer by layer, exposing it’s construction making it vulnerable for manipulation.
